Bayview Bliss Bungalow

Very nice home beautifully situation on a wooded lot with water views and access. It is convenient to the main road that easily takes you into Green Bay. Simple Life Rentals was very quick to respond, even on the weekend. We will be renting this home again if it is available when we visit the area again.

The house was so cozy and the perfect retreat away from a busy life. It is a bit of a walk to get to the stairs that take you down to the water. Not too far, but not really close either. The stairs are steep, so use caution. The pond was gorgeous and we loved hearing the waterfall and looking for frogs. The view over looking Green Bay was beautiful!

Nice spot. Beautiful building and landscaping. View could be a little better from the house. No major complaints. Did find a couple mouse droppings but no other sign or sound of mice. We get them at home so not a big deal. Spider webs outside were prevalent, annoying but not harmful and the spiders eat lots of bugs! Overall we had a pleasant experience in a lovely location. Will we stay there again? Probably not, there’s more of the world to explore. One other note, the steps down to the water are Extremely Steep and the beach is a mix of stone, shells, and not much sand. The water had quite a lot of algae as well, not their fault and nothing to be done about it. Light switches weren’t labeled and some didn’t appear to be connected to anything. Bring your own salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, etc., there was plenty of coffee though! Didn’t try the TV, the WiFi was good! Also didn’t use the gas fireplace or wood stove so can’t rate them. Kitchen is small. Bring your own ice too.

Our stay here was very comfortable. It was a quiet, beautiful setting. We were in Door County to hike and bike so used this home as a launching/landing pad. It had everything we needed and more. I could see staying here again for a longer time to enjoy the lake, the landscape, fire pit, and other amenities in full. All communications with property management were prompt and helpful. This is not the property to stay at with multiple families or families with very young children. Check in and out times (4 pm and 10 am respectively) are not family friendly especially for young ones with naps. While the property was pretty, there were spiders everywhere you looked both in and outside the home. While there was a second bathroom, it was far from practical as it was located in a poorly lit unfinished basement. The kids were afraid to go down there, and quite frankly so were the adults. This is also a very remote location so getting a gallon of milk requires at least a 30 minute drive to a real establishment. May be fine for a couple who wants to be immersed with nature, but on the go families beware.

Beautiful sunsets and centrally located to events planned. Comfy beds. We would have really enjoyed this home, but to many issues. It was cold outside, most of the house had heat, except the greenhouse room and the basement. There was a gas stove in the greenhouse room but there are no instructions to turn the gas on or start the stove. Making that part of the house and basement bathroom unusable. There were dead bugs on the floors and the toilet bowls were stained an iron color. It just appeared that the house might have been closed up for a while and not freshened before we got there. There was no water in the house the day we arrive and it took till the next day for the plumber to fix the issue. The water also had a very bad smelled like sulfur that stuck with you after a shower. We were compensated $300 & reimbursed for drinking water we had to purchase. It was not adequate after two days without being able to get showers, cook meals or have use of entire home.

Nice, quiet wooded setting with pond and waterfall. Short hike to the breath taking view of the bay. Modern accommodations with comfortable beds. We had a great stay and will recommend to friends and family

I give this site 4 stars and would stay here again. Definitely recommend you check it out. The lakefront access is private and you can go down the pier in the summer and swim. They have two kayaks and multiple life vests you can use as well. Fire pit access was clutch and the hosts left us materials for s’mores. The house is in a wooded area so there are quite a few bugs. We saw bats, frogs, deer, and lots of spiders. You are in the middle of nature so don’t expect this area to be devoid of animals just living their lives. We did have a couple guys cut their ankle on the lower steps of the basement staircase but the host responded quickly and said they would take care of it. For some reason the sliding door to the patio wouldn’t lock, but that would’ve been more concerning if we were in a more populated area. Overall, we had a great stay in beautiful surroundings (the garden/pond area is also a cool spot).

The home was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the lake and kayaks. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. Had some issues with pet hair on the sofas and one bed. Also issue with flies. The manager was responsive to questions. Overall a very nice rental that I would recommend to others.

Could use a spraying for spiders and insects. My daughter was stung by a giant wasp on Sunday morning while sitting at the breakfast table...in the house.

Beautiful environment! The fabulous pond on one side of the house and a woodsy Lake Michigan view on the other. We had an issue with the bathroom & they responded & sent a plumber right away. Second bathroom is in the basement. Very limited utensils in the kitchen. There was a steep walk down to the beach & dock, but the sunsets were amazing.
