The house was very cozy. The location was okay but it was a little farther from all of the activities than desired - the house appeared way more roomier in the pictures than it actually was. The upstairs was way too hot and the air conditioner was not present for us to use. We had 8 guests, and not enough towels for everyone to shower. The firepit is a great asset, however, the chairs were absolutely filthy. They had bird poo on them and were covered in spider webs. We had to clean them before we could use. Not ideal, as we expected ready to use and not something we had to get user ready. Said we could use Kayaks, etc., but everything was locked up, there was one kayak not locked up. The house was clean, but it had a musty smell. The communication on property rules, check out, were easy to understand, prompt and clear. However, I think it was a little spendy for what was actually provided.

Clean, well-equiped property. Great amenities! The dock was amazing. There is plenty of yard for backyard activities and the deck has ample seating with AMAZING views. The whole area is very tranquil, inviting, and relaxing.We plan to come back soon!Note to potential renters: the inside stairs are very steep. They are safe, sturdy, and have rails.. but could be daunting for anyone with any mobility or vertigo concerns. There is a downstairs bedroom so you don't have to go up. But 3 of the bedrooms are up there.

The perfect Midwest getaway location for our East Coast and West Coast families to meet. Unexpectedly delightful. Awesome sunsets and fire pit. $4 a bundle firewood all over town. Host was very responsive.

Location was good for our family. Easy drive to Sturgeon Bay. Needed another full bathroom and the stairs going to 2nd floor a little steep.

The location. There were spiders. Spiders webs and wasn’t clean. Probably from sitting from the winter months. It was our son’s birthday and I felt like we let him down.

The place was good, but they didn't leave toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, and other supplies that usually come with the place. The mobile ACs upstairs were not working properly and was hot , the circuit breaker was keep tripping, per Simple Life rep they know about the AC issues and they didn't take care of it.

Overall, not worth the money for the condition of the home. One bedroom had a real bed instead of the fouton showed in pics which was nice. The ceiling fan in the bedroom that did not have an AC unit was loud unless kept on low. The window AC units smelled like mouse urine and appered dirty. They also would not maintain the temp we set them at. Spiders in the corners of dining room, bathroom, and bedrooms. Both decks and the exterior were covered in cobwebs and spiders. I understand were out in nature but there were so many spiders and webs on the house/decks and all furniture we could not enjoy it. They need pest control outside and inside. The chairs by fire pit were also dirty and covered in old cobwebs, we had to clean them before use. Life jacketets, paddle boards, kyaks were also not clean.

Overall a very nice place on a nice spot of the lake. Its a good base for exploring Door County to the north and near big stores in sturgeon bay, but private and secluded. The kitchen is well equipped. The is only one full bathroom (so one shower, no bathtub) which turned out to be fine for our group but could be challenging for some. Our primary unexpected issue was only 2 of the 4 rooms had air conditioning and it was really hot while we were there. So, we had to leave all the doors open in the bedrooms upstairs with the A/C's on high, so that the rooms without it didn't get too hot--but this also meant the rooms with it got really cold and had roaring A/C all night. If the weather is a bit cooler it wouldn't be a problem but this is probably a challenge for all of July. Otherwise, great stay!

We had a fantastic 5-day stay at Heidaway. The house was clean and stocked with all of the dishes, pots, pans, tp, soap, etc., that you could need. Absolutely GORGEOUS lake views, stunning sunsets, a deck, yard, and dock that beckon you to hang out outdoors, which is exactly what we did. The kayaks and stand-up paddle boards were super fun and the chairs around the fire pit encouraged relaxation and some welcome hang-out time. A couple of the bedrooms were a bit tight, but that was no problem – the beds and sheets were comfortable, and we didn't spend much time in them, because really, this place is all about being outside, and THAT VIEW. We cannot recommend this place more – the photos on the site look great, but the views are even more incredible than you expect, just absolutely electric.

We had some issues checking in but we eventually were able to get in. The house was stocked and clean. Beautiful views. We did have some issues with the plumbing as well. Overall we had a great stay. Would recommend.

Our group of 8 (6 adults, 2 children) enjoyed our time on the property. It is situated facing west on Green Bay, so we had multiple exceptional sunsets sitting by the campfire. The listing very accurately reflects the property. The house was very nice, the furniture was very comfortable and clean, and the shoreline was beautiful. We even had a small fire in the fire ring. We all agreed we would stay there again if we were in the area.

Overall it was a great place. We found some dirty dishes. Makes it hard to eat without washing everything. A throw pillow smelled bad. I left a note on it and placed it on the washer. Previous visitors should have done this. I am not sure when the cleaning crew had been there. We spent a lot of time making the deck and outdoor furniture able to use. The grill had burnt food. We did not use it at all. Cleaning fee was pretty steep for what we did when we got there. One set of sheets smelled musty like they had been left in the washer for days, then dried and put on the bed. This is a nice place. I would still recommend it. Cleaning crew needs to visit prior to occupancy.

It was amazing beautiful property. Right on Lake Michigan. I arranged it. So I got to choose my sleeping quart but I chose the couch. Because the sound of the lake was incredible at night. The house was very clean and updated. We all loved everything about it. Would highly recommend

The lake frontage makes it extra special.
Close to Door County for an easy day trip. Great restaurants in Sturgeon Bay & very close!

We enjoyed our stay at the rental! The beautiful breeze off Lake Michigan into the home, the long dock over the water, and the peaceful neighborhood were pieces to a beautiful stay. The home itself provided seating options to sit, eat, and gather. Our group was well accommodated with the ammentities provided. The location has great access to all that Door County has to offer.

This was a wonderful house just five minutes from town in a very secluded area. We loved sitting on the patio watching the lake, bird, and squirrels run about. The pier was a perfect place to watch sunsets (when the smoke from Canadian fires allowed). The fire pit seating area also provided space for all of us to congregate with an afternoon glass of wine. The house was as described and fit our group of 7 perfectly. This is a perfect spot for your Door County vacation as everything was provided and it was a great area for day trips up the peninsula. Check out the summer music events...we saw free live music every night!

We had a great stay. The place was clean and perfectly prepared for our visit. The house was well stocked in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms which made it very easy to settle in. The outdoor space was fantastic for games, dining, drinking, and bonfires. The sunsets on the lake were the cherry on top.
