Wonderful Getaway
by Sierra H.After reading some of the reviews I'll admit I was a little worried, but after staying the weekend I think a lot of these folks may have never stepped foot out of the city before! This was a charming cabin; clean and fully stocked with necessities (besides food, obviously). If you're looking for glitz and glamour, a cabin getaway in the middle of the woods is not for you. Was impressed that everything was solar powered! Was a little bit disappointed that the swimming hole was unusable, as the rocks/floor were covered in dead tadpoles and muck, but with the river just down the hill and everything else this property had to offer it really wasn't an issue. We are sad to leave but had the most wonderful time. We would definitely be down to come back again.
Thank you, Sierra!! We are so grateful for your feedback and kind review. This means so much to our team to hear! Glad you had a wonderful stay and hope we might host you again!
I do not feel like my words can convey what I felt during my stay. First off, the location was something off a postcard. It was more beautiful than the photos could capture. If you are looking for off the beaten path...look no further. It has activities and supplies very close to the cabin so dont worry. The cabin is absolutely "turn-key". Just bring food and drinks. You will want for nothing during your stay. The property was extremely clean, engaging and built with care. There was a full kitchen with all the fixings, wood on site to purchase, all yhe river supplies, fire pits and grill, swimming hole and anything else you could think of. There wasnt anything that I needed, that wasnt provided for me. The owners have thought of everything. I would give 6 stars if possible. I am already looking at my calendar to see when I can book my next trip. If you have read this far.....just book it! You will thank me later.
Thank you, Dustin! We are so excited to hear this. Your compliments to the home mean so much to us. We hope we get to host you again!
We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my fiancé’s 40th Birthday. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. There are 3 cabins on this property, closer together than the pictures show. Not a big deal, since the cabin closest to ours was vacant during our stay. All the cabin amenities fit the listing description, so no surprises there. This is not a modern type cabin, so if you are looking for new furniture and bougie amenities, this isn’t the place for you. There is no AC, but the downstairs stays very cool when kept closed up. The swimming hole looked kinda murky and low on water, so we didn’t swim in it. We loved the outdoor fireplace at night and being able to bring our pups was a definite plus! Check out Chute Pond nearby for hiking trails and fun fishing spots!
Hi Trina, thank you so much for all your feedback. We are so happy you had a great overall stay and enjoyed the beautiful area and amenities.
We enjoyed this property very much. Thank you. We’d love to own a property like this someday!
Hi Anthony, thank you for your compliments to the property! It is a beautiful area. Thank you so much and it was our pleasure hosting you!
Beautiful natural place to stay.
Right in the middle of the forest;
River nearby; kayaking and fishing available.
There are three houses from same host, and they were responsive, helpful, easy to communicate and friendly.
Definitely recommend!
It was our pleasure to work with and host you, Adyl! Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Hope to host you again sometime!
