Little White Cottage on the Lake

This was an unforgettable experience. The property is beautiful, and less than 20 steps away is private beach access. The cottage itself was clean, cute, and cozy! The team was responsive when I had any questions throughout the whole process, and we were extremely happy with the whole stay! Should we ever be in the area again, we will be rebooking!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was exceptionally clean—and I’m very picky when it comes to cleanliness, so that says a lot. The location was perfect, and the communication was outstanding from start to finish.
Everything was exactly as described, and the entire experience was stress-free and enjoyable. It’s hard to find places that are this clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My family loved the access to the beach, the quiet neighborhood, and all the useful kitchen amenities. The cottage was clean and cozy. It comfortably held our family of 6. The kids loved the double bunkbed and the park just down the street. My wife and I loved that we could walk right into the shops in town. A relaxing stay!

The cottage and location were perfect. However, the neighbor Mike who lives just south of the property, harassed and intimidated me and my family almost the entire week. All because my grandchildren stepped on his sand our first 10 minutes on the beach. I did apologize but he continued to take pictures of my family and creep around the cottage throughout the week. I was not able to enjoy the beach front location as I had hoped.

The one bedroom with the bunk beds, we couldn’t figure out how to work the window shades to close them. Rather than risk damaging them we used pillows at night to cover the bottom half. Great location by the beach, comfortable house, good kitchen, nice to have a Weber grill for outdoor cooking, met a few neighbors, always a great Lake breeze….

We loved this house & location! The house was pretty dusty when we got there as if no one had been in awhile and we did find quite a bit of mold on a bookshelf, but otherwise it was great. The host was responsive and apologetic for the issue. There are a ton of bugs that sneak into the house but we expected that being so close to the water. The beach access was absolutely perfect. House is small but we were always out at the beach or exploring DC so it wasn’t an issue. Would definitely stay again!

Although it was a little smaller than we expected, it was fantastic place to stay. The location on Lake Michigan with a beautiful 1.5 mile sand beach that was great for a morning walk was great. It is located on the quieter side of Door County, but very easy to get to everything on the peninsula . Highly recommend taking advantage of the kayaking and bike rentals nearby! Would definitely stay here again.

Location was good, with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed walkin the beach every morning and watching the sunrise. Was a little tight with 6 people and one bathroom, which we knew when we booked. Only downside-when we got to the house, there were a lot of spiders all along the ceiling in every room. We had to get out the vacuum and clean all of them up. Along with spider webs. I understand there would be spiders by the lake. But to be that many and all of the spider webs seemed there hadn't been anyone there in a couple of weeks. Should maybe be checked and cleaned before a check in. Otherwise was clean and a nice stay.house, th

Overall I truly enjoyed the rental.
It would improve the experience to allow for a fire - as the fireplace drew me to the rental.
I also think repositioning the outdoor table
To catch a view of the lake would also be nice.
Overall: a great location, very close to the lake, great control over HVAC and well equipped kitchen and utensils.
I would stay again!

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! As stated in the listing for the cottage, for liability reasons, we are unable to allow guests to utilize the indoor fireplace. The picnic table is positioned where it is so as not to obstruct the beautiful view of Lake Michigan from Little White Cottage. We hope you were able to enjoy the view while making s’mores at the outdoor fire pit, which, of course, is always available for guest use!

Cozy little cottage that’s been nicely updated. Beach was about as good as it gets in Door County with nice little sand bar for young kids. We enjoyed walking to farmers market and the local park as well as biking to Whitefish and Cave Point. The cottage is nestled amongst several other cabins but the neighbors are extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We had a great stay at the cottage and would happily return. The house is well outfitted and in a great location right by the beach. It would have been nice to have access to the washer/dryer in unit, but we didn't expect to use it as it is appropriately flagged as off-limits in the listing. Overall, a great stay, and we'd recommend this listing to others
