Welcome to Moonlight Bay Getaway! This contemporary home is located in a beautiful and rustic location to enable up to 10 guests to enjoy all that the Townsend and Lakewood areas are known for. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is perfect for families and larger groups. It includes two separate living spaces, and a bar area in the lower level space. The private backyard includes an outdoor deck, firepit and even a playhouse and a playset, which children will love. The large driveway accommodates up to 6 parking spots, to include trailers. Located in a quiet neighborhood yet close to restaurants, bars and activities, guests will love all of the home's amenities and all that 'up north' Wisconsin offers!

We love our family pet dogs and welcome yours too. Your well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. This property allows up to 2 dogs. There is a fee of $45 per dog/per night, which is collected separately and approximately one week prior to your check-in date.

*This is a quiet community with neighbors. This home is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings.

Bedroom #1 (main level): King size bed, ceiling fan, room darkening shades, hangers, extra pillows and blankets

Bedroom #2 (main level): 2 sets of Twin bunk beds, hangers, extra pillows and blankets

Bedroom #3 (main level): Queen size bed, hangers, extra pillows and blankets

Bedroom #4 (main level): 2 Twin size beds, hangers, extra pillows and blankets


Kitchen Amenities:

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven and a toaster

A traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig are provided

Dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, kitchen towels, hot pads, wine glasses, crockpot, a coffee grinder and BBQ grill utensils are also at the property


Bathrooms:

Bathroom #1 (main level): Full bathroom w/ walk-in shower, separate tub, and hair dryer, ensuite to the primary bedroom

Bathroom #2 (main level): Full bathroom w/ shower/tub combo and hair dryer

Firepit with 4 chairs (guests must provide own firewood)

Children's playhouse and play set with swings

Driveway includes room for up to 6 parking spots including room for a trailer

Garage access includes 2 additional parking spots


Provided:

Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

We do provide a starter pack of essentials which includes the following: 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and 2-3 garbage bags.

We also supply one each of travel size shampoo, conditioner and bodywash per full bathroom.

Due to health and safety guidelines made by the health department, all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.


Surrounding Area:

Restaurants: Little Tipsy (great pizza), Hillcrest (supper club), Sunset (nice bar restaurant with bar food), Waube Lodge in Lakewood (overlooks Waube Lake).

Winery: Woodland Trail Winery

Hiking: Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and check out "Step Outside .Org" for additional hiking spots

In summer, there are extensive ATV/UTV trails nearby

There are also many lakes and public boat launches nearby for fishing, ice fishing, waterskiing, jet skiing, and swimming. You are within minutes of Chain Lake and Townsend Flowage. 0.7 miles to lake access and 1.2 miles to boat launch

Public Beaches nearby: Wheeler Lake Beach and Bass Lake Beach

This area is a very popular snowmobile destination in Wisconsin. Chute Pond alone grooms 107 miles of trails. Snowmobile clubs are a great way to get connected with the trails and guests can visit their websites to check trail conditions, riding information etc. The three local clubs are Chute Pond Snowmobile Club/Red Arrow (based in Townsend), Paul Bunyan (based in Lakewood), LMT (based in Wabeno, Forest County). There are two clubs to the west are Langlade and Lily Sno-birds.

Skiing: The Paul Bunyan Ski Hill is in Lakewood

In summer, there are extensive ATV/UTV trails nearby

The property is in Townsend, but Lakewood is nearby. You can look up their tourism website online provides many suggestions of nearby attractions and activities
