North Bay Tranquility

The property and host were everything we could have wanted or needed for our Door County stay. The communication with the property manager was prompt, clear, informative, and friendly throughout the entire rental process. The property was as pictured and described, if not better. We did have one issue arise during our stay, which was handled brilliantly. The air conditioning at the location stopped working on an extremely hot day. I reported that to the property manager and they worked with the owner to send someone out immediately. The issue was resolved entirely in less than two hours despite being after typical work hours. Something like that can ruin a vacation, but in our case it was just the most minor inconvenience that was fixed about as fast as humanly possible. I cannot say enough good things about how well that situation was handled. I highly recommend the rental and would return to the property in a heartbeat. The entire experience was how renting a house should be. Five stars all the way!

Quiet neighborhood with a good location to enjoy all of the Door County attractions. The home was impeccably clean especially considering that it is dog friendly. We also appreciated the room configuration with two single beds in two rooms and queen bed in the other room. It was a great stay for our family visit.

We stayed at Nitschke Nook for two months while selling our home and waiting to close on our new one, and it couldn’t have been a better place to land during such a hectic time. The rental was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully furnished—everything we needed for a mid-term stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was peaceful, and the pricing was incredibly reasonable for the quality and convenience. We were able to settle in quickly and focus on our move without any added stress. If you're in a transitional season of life and need a solid, welcoming place to stay, I’d absolutely recommend Nitschke Nook.

My family, including a 7 year old and two dogs, really enjoyed our stay at North Bay Tranquility, the house is very pretty and comfortable, the beds were great and everyone slept well. It has everything you could need (full kitchen, tv and internet, beautiful yard with fire pit) and we felt right at home. Only issue was when we arrived I took the cover off the gas grill to check it out and it promptly collapsed. Notified management right away, but no one fixed or replaced it, just stuck it in the garage. So that was a minor disappointment since we had planned to grill dinners. Overall though we were extremely happy with the home and our stay. Would definitely stay again!

We experienced a beautiful weekend in Door County for our anniversary. Golfing shopping dining just an all-around awesome weekend. We found the location of this place very close to everything and the fact that we were able to include our dog for the weekend. Made it extra special.

It was a very comfortable house for us and our dog, and conveniently located to hiking areas and wineries. We suggest that you bring your own drinking water or take advantage of the counter top water filter they provided. If the neighbors to the right of the property are permanent residents, you will not be able to enjoy a quiet evening outside as their dogs barked constantly. Hopefully, this was a one-off. If not for that, we would consider staying here again. The property manager was extremely fast to respond to any inquiries we had.

Nice house in the woods but near the water with plenty of living space for the family. Was within a quick drive to many of the attractions for Door County.
