Welcome to Stiehl Away, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! Water view, Beach, Winery and Cider Bar next door! This groovy and fun rental unit is located between von Stiehl Winery and Cider Bar! When you have wood paneling throughout the house, you have to embrace it! This property has done just that! Lovingly dubbed the "mediocre vacation rental," nostalgia abounds with decor that is reminiscent of days gone by. There's even a lava lamp! This property has a beautiful water view and is located just 1 minute from the marina and boat launch. Be the envy of everyone with your front row seats from the deck to enjoy the live music and events at the winery. This home can sleep up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Please be aware that the bathroom at this property is a very small bathroom with a walk-in shower. If you're looking for a fun place to stay right in the center of the action, this is the perfect place for you!

**This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings.

Walk next door to von Stiehl Winery, Wisconsin's oldest licensed winery, and enjoy one of their large varieties of top-quality wines. If you prefer reds, be sure to ask for special tasting menus. Also located next to your rental is the von Stiehl Cider bar. It serves cider, wine and beer. Visit the Ahnapee Brewery Tap room two blocks away. Make sure to stop by and check out one of their 'true-to-style' fresh brews.

There is a long-term renter in the unit located on the second floor (separate entrances)

Marina and boat launch only 1 min away!

1/2 mile-long Crescent Beach begins just 2 blocks away

Ahnapee State Trail – The trailhead is just a few blocks away. The old railroad tracks turned biking trail extends from Casco to Sturgeon Bay.

Provided:
Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

We provide a starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue.

We also supply one travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash per full bathroom.

Due to health and safety guidelines, all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.

Overall, the retro themed home was very tidy and quaint. As was published, the bathroom was very small. We didn't realize how small. It was very cramped and difficult to maneuver. We did manage though. It may not be as much issue for a younger person. The rest of the home was very spacious. We loved the water view from the back deck. It was very conveniently located to all the shops, restaurants, winery, etc. Everything was within easy walking distance. It was a great base from which to take in Door County. We loved the recommendations for the local restaurants; especially Skalawags; we went there twice during our 3 days stay. The bakery was great too. Check in was a breeze and the location was easy to find.

Quaint rental with lovely location next to von Stiehl Winery. Outdoor deck overlooks Ahnapee River and Lake Michigan . Winery features excellent wines and ciders and hosts live music on the lawn. While rental has full setup including multiple corkscrews it seemed to be missing a can opener.  A great place to wine, lake, and repeat. ?

Right in the heart of harbor action, this quirky cute and roomy place had it all. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets , lots of people everywhere enjoying Wisconsin, great food right downtown. Relaxing and beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay in Algoma. Wendy and Scott were great hosts. When you walk in the door you immediately feel like you are at grandma's house: comfortable and inviting. The rental is well stocked with everything that you need. The location is between the winery and the brewery with amazing views of the river and the lake. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We were treated like family every where we went. We will definitely stay here again.

We spent 2 nights here to celebrate my 60th Birthdaty. I would definitely stay again; it is located in the best area, between the winery and brewery....the view is great and the accomodations are very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the 'groovy' vibe, as did our guests that could relate to the era - the decor is so fun, we enjoyed checking it all out. Yes, the bathroom is small - but we were told that in advance and it was accommodating, clean and also decorated cute! Lots of room for food prep in the kitchen and the dining room table was great - as it was a little too cool to eat outside. The outside is great too; had our coffee on the porch/deck - although we had a cool weekend. Highly recommended!

The location is great, we parked the car and walked everywhere. The back deck is a nice place to watch the water while sipping your morning coffee or evening wine. If you get up early, you can catch a fantastic sunrise! It is sandwiched between the brewery and the winery, which is convienent and allows for great people watching, be prepared to chat anytime you step out the door. The "groovy features" makes it feel like you are staying at your parents or grandparents house. Very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return!
