Welcome to the Resting Place, hosted by Simple Life Rentals. This newly constructed home is your waterfront retreat on 1.5 wooded acres, nestled right on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in Sturgeon Bay.

With 2 bedrooms, a third private versatile room for sleeping or lounging, and 2 baths, the Resting Place comfortably sleeps 5 guests, making it ideal for families or small groups seeking a tranquil getaway. As you enter on the ground floor, a full flight of stairs leads you to the inviting second-floor living space where panoramic views of the lake await.

Just 50 steps away, you'll find your private shoreline where you can relax, barbecue, or gather around the firepit for cozy evenings under the stars. Take in the breathtaking view of the Canal Lighthouse, complete with its nostalgic foghorn echoing across the water.

Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, The Resting Place offers an unforgettable escape in the heart of Door County.

*This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings.

Important Property Notes:
• The entrance to the home is on the ground level, however the property is located on the second level. Guests must ascend a full flight of stairs to enter the property.
• Gas fireplace is for aesthetics only and is not for guest use.
• The Lake Michigan water in front of the home is not swimmable. Door County Land Trust Nature Preserve includes a sandy beach and is suitable for swimming, which is just minutes away.

Lounge/ Study (upper level): Full size futon and room darkening shades; private space with a door that is also great for a child in a pack and play (not provided)

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and a toaster
A Keurig coffee maker is provided
Dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, kitchen towels, tea kettle, hot pads, grill utensils and wine glasses are also at the property

Bathrooms:
Bathroom #1 (upper level): Full bathroom with combination tub and shower
Bathroom #2 (upper level): Full bathroom with walk-in shower

Provided:
• Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
• We provide a starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue.
• We supply one each of travel size shampoo, conditioner and bodywash per full bathroom.
• Due to health and safety guidelines made by the health department, all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to great hiking trails and a sandy beach, perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying a leisurely stroll. For those looking to explore the vibrant local scene, downtown Sturgeon Bay beckons with its charming shops, delectable dining options, wine tasting venues, art galleries, and museums.
