- Explore the Outdoors: Waupaca is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, and there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy it. Take a hike through Hartman Creek State Park, go biking on the Waupaca River Trail, or go kayaking on the Chain O’ Lakes.
- Visit the Museums: Waupaca has a rich history, and there are several museums in the area that offer a glimpse into the past. Check out the Waupaca Historical Society and Museum to learn about the town’s early settlers, or visit the Chain O’ Lakes Historical Society Museum to see artifacts from the area’s logging and lumbering history.
- Shop and Dine: Waupaca has a variety of unique shops and restaurants, offering everything from antiques and crafts to locally-sourced cuisine and craft beer.
Waupaca is located approximately 110 miles from Milwaukee and 140 miles from Madison. If you’re driving, take I-94 west to the I-39/US-51 exit, then follow US-51 north to Waupaca. If you’re coming from the north, take US-10 west to the WI-22 exit, then follow WI-22 south to Waupaca. There is no public transportation to Waupaca, so driving is the most convenient option.
