This was my second time staying in this unit and I’m so glad I came back. The first time was such a great experience that I knew when I came back to Door County that I wanted to stay here again. It’s cozy, Ephraim is beautiful, and the unit was well prepped both times I visited. In the last year, it seems like the unit has small enhancements - more cups, cutlery, and other small enhancements. Looking forward to my next trip to Door County and staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. There is so much to do in Door County and the cottage is located right in the middle of everything. Peninsula State Park is extremely close. We did some hiking and biking there. We also were able to see the Northern Lights two different times during our stay! The cottage has everything you need. Lots of towels, kitchen supplies, plenty of games and brochures, it’s just darling. We had a great stay and we would stay again. Thank you!

This was one of my best AirBnb stays yet. The unit was clean, comfortable and felt like home. The space came with far more than anticipated - games, activists like coloring books, well stocked cooking supplies including sugar, coffee, salt, pepper and more. We met the owner on property the last day - she was tending to the landscape and clearly keeps everything both inside and outside tidy - and she gave us suggestions on places to see and things to do. Such a great host in such a fantastically priced unit.

We loved our stay at this quaint cottage in Ephraim! It was small but well designed so we didn’t feel cramped. There’s a large closet in the master that easily fit all of our clothes. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Ephraim and close to all the other main towns in Door County. The view of the lake was breathtaking from the kitchen table. If you’d rather spend your time outdoors and enjoying the view, and are looking for a simple place to stay for a decent price, this is the one!

It felt like good friends left their summer cottage to you to use for the weekend. This is my favorite kind of place to stay at through Airbnb.
The house was the perfect size for two people and truly felt like a home away from home. The bed was comfortable, the house was absolutely stocked with extra blankets, the kitchen had more than enough utensils, pots, and pans to be able to cook a nice meal, and there was a thoughtful amount of toiletries and a medical kit in the bathroom, just in case. The space is small, but very efficiently laid out so every inch is maximized for your comfort. And while the house was on the main road in town, I didn't notice the road noise. Though I was there in September, not the high season. The Summer House is ADORABLE and has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay in Ephraim.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Collings Summer House! The space itself was exactly as pictured, clean, easy to find, and had off street parking. I was pleasantly surprised by how roomy the bathroom was (based on the listing photos) and the view out the front picture window was incredible. It was nice to find a dog friendly Airbnb in the Ephraim area; the listing had me worried that there would not be a lot of grassy area around the home for our pup but there was plenty and it was within walking distance to other parks and also area shops and restaurants. I appreciated the short and simple list of checkout requirements too. We would stay here again if we are ever in the Door County area again!

We were only in Door County for two nights so location was pretty important. Nestled between Fish Creek and Sister Bay this is a perfect place. We did dinners in Sister Bay, spent some time in Peninsula state park which is minutes away, enjoyed some vineyards etc. Everything with the property was great!

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights in June 2023 and loved it. The cottage was clean and even though it's not very big, it had all the amenities we needed. The fold out bed in the living room was comfortable for my daughter and the bed in the bedroom was comfortable for me. The location can't be beat as it's only a short walk to the places like Wilson's and the Chef's Hat. For a cozy and comfortable stay close to everything in Ephraim, I highly recommend the Summer Cottage.

My wife and I and our small dog stayed here. The property was accurately described in the description. While it met our needs for the most part we felt it was a little pricey for the size of the cabin. We had looked at one other property in the woods that was the same price with 3 bedrooms but opted for the cabin since it was close to the water, but I didn’t read the description closely enough and had thought when I booked this cabin that it was right on the water and that was the reason for the price, my mistake!
A few things that might have been helpful to know in advance:
1) There is one closet in the bedroom and while you can appreciate the fact they have what looked like to be a water softener installed, it takes up a great deal of room in the closet. There was a shower curtain covering the things they have in the closet which was nice to keep things tidy, but please note that your clothes cannot hang as they normally would. They have to hang at an angle. Not a problem if you don’t have many clothes. We kept our suitcases in the truck as there was no room anywhere in the cabin to store them without feeling more cramped. A nice touch for storage they had storage baskets underneath the bed and that’s what I kept a lot of my things in to keep the room tidy.
2) The bed was not comfortable to either of us at all. I know it’s hard to please everyone when it comes to a mattress. Bedding was nice though and they had plenty of extra bedding in the closet.
3) Cabin is nicely done. Nice touch with 2 things to prop your feet up on while watching TV. Smart TV to watch things from your own account. Nice touch on providing hygiene things in bath and things for the kitchen!
The response time was fantastic throughout our stay and we appreciated that as well!

Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Surprisingly quiet for it's location, just a few blocks walk to Ephraim. Great central location to get too all upper Door Peninsula sites. However the owner's use of Superhog for guest verification is a huge turn-off. They are not properly introduced, so appear as scammers, demanding photos of personal ID, utility bills, etc and threatening you can't check in without providing them, technical issues opening the jpg we finally agreed to send...totally unprofessional. This created distrust needlessly. The owners were great though. There was a malfunction of the dehumidifier and they ran right over to fix it.

Small cottage big on location and convenience. The Summer Cottage is exactly as pictured—compact, with a small galley kitchen, mini fridge, micro/convection oven and a range top (no full oven.) Views of the water from the cottage and patio, easy few block walk to Ephraim “downtown.” Very nice place for a couple. Several prior guests noted it worked for them and a small child or dog. We found it great for just 2 people! Comfy bed (a bit warm in the bedroom with the ac in the living room, but if you are lucky with the cool nights, it provides a great sleep. Overall, very nice find; will stay again if we return to Door County. (And there is so much to see—we zigzagged the Penninsula several times to see a play at Penninsula Players, the Fair Isle Lavender Farm, a ferry trip to Washington Island, distillery and cider tastings and a beach day in Jacksonport. Great short stay. Next to another Simple Life cottage that also looks amazing!

Great little cottage. Decorated in a very cozy and comfortable cottage style. Very well maintained inside and extremely clean. Most comfortable Airbnb bed I have slept in to-date.
Ideal location, right across from the water and walking distance to town, cottage has views of the water. Ephraim is also midway between Fish Creek and Sister Bay, so gives you quick access to many dining and shopping options across the the three towns.

My husband, dog and I spent a long weekend at Scott and Wendy's place. We were torn about what town in Door County we wanted to stay in, and are so glad we picked this spot! The location is perfect--easy to walk to restaurants and the lake in Ephraim, and centrally located in Door County. The apartment is well equipped, and was a comfortable stay for the 3 of us. We loved this little cottage. It was perfect for me, my husband, and our dog. It's within walking distance of downtown Ephraim, which is ideal for grabbing breakfast in the morning or walking along the lake. The lake it right there so it's perfect! Ephraim is also a great spot if you're like us and like to venture up to Sister Bay or down to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. Ephraim is right in the middle, so it makes everything a close drive. We really enjoyed our long weekend there!

This was a great property for a short trip. I do suggest bringing more towels as there are only 2 provided. I also suggest bringing something to sanitize dishes and surfaces if you’re sensitive to that. Overall, we would love to stay again.

Very quaint cottage within walking distance to all Ephraim has to offer. It is tiny so four is absolutely the max but we made it work and really enjoyed the property and surrounding area. I imagine during the summer the little shopping area adjacent to the property might cause some noise or additional foot traffic, but at the end of October it wasn’t a bother at all!

This is a fantastic little cabin just across from the harbor (you can even see the water from the front window). Separate driveway and detachment from the main house help maintain privacy. And the owners were very communicative when we needed help finding something. This is a wonderful option if you’re looking for something cozy and private in Door County.

Perfect sized cabin for 2 people. Great location that’s walkable to everything in Ephraim. Only thing to note is that you need to bring your own shampoo and soap.

Location, Location, Location....you can’t get much better than this! Cozy cottage perfect for myself and my husband and our dog. The description and photos are spot on accurate- so space is a little tight, but was very manageable for us and our pup. The kitchenette is small but good for making coffee and cooking a light breakfast. One note of “caution” there is a furnace or something in the closet of the bedroom- it turns on sporadically, our first night it went on and spooked our dog- this waking us all up. After the first time he was used to it. Great little cozy cottage!

Had the greatest week at Summer Cottage. My wife, one year old, our dog, and myself had plenty of room and used the outdoor space every night. Walk to all the restaurants and shops in Ephraim, watch the sunrise, and perfectly located between Fish Creek and Sister Bay. We’ll be back!

Our stay here was wonderful and made a great first visit to Door County! Cozy little cottage perfect for my husband and I, along with our dog. The space was super clean and had everything we needed, with a bonus view of the water across the street. Exactly as pictured.
Walking distance to restaurants (Wilson’s for ice cream!), shops, and Ephraim public beach (water level was pretty high so not much beach). Conveniently located between Fish Creek and Sister Bay - about a 10 minute drive to each. It is right off the main road so there is some traffic noise but it didn’t bother us, and made for easy access going to/from the cottage.
Check in and check out instructions were thorough and communication was fast.
Overall would recommend!

Great location and beautiful property! We enjoyed having a grill and sitting outside with beautiful flowers and trees to look at. It’s walking distance to the beach and Marina, close to peninsula state park and it was nice to be able to bring our pup. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at this property ideally situated in Ephraim a short walk to the public beach or to town. The property was well maintained and we appreciated that we could bring our small dog along for the vacation.

This little cottage couldn’t have been better. Tucked away on the Main Street, it was still quiet and had an awesome view. It was perfect for me and my pet, and it would have been fine for a couple, too. Everything was clean and in good condition.
