What an amazing location. Wonderful boardwalk to the beach and a view of Lake Michigan. We were there with three couples to enjoy some fall hikes and leaves and had a great time. House is very well stocked with anything you might need to cook or have fun. Would definitely come again.

House was beautiful! Stunning. Exactly like the pictures! The best part for me was the private beach. We rented this house just for my small family 5 of us total. This was our annual pilgrimage to the quiet side. We were 3 adults along with a 10 and 12 year old. This large home makes a perfect home base for Door County, has beautiful water views, a large sandy dune area and a wonderful sandy beach. The beach is walkable and has a deck and bench overlooking it. Everyone greatly appreciated having the kayaks and paddleboard available- this added so much to our enjoyment of the lake! The outdoor shower was a fantastic amenity & really helped keep sand out of the house. And the ping pong and foosball tables were fun. There were a couple negatives- we had an issue with drain or fruit flies throughout the house. (We did not leave food or dishes out). Using the dryer requires throwing the breaker switch & replugging in the electric cord to get it going, which I discovered too late in our stay to mention to management. We would have liked a patio umbrella & more comfortable deck furniture. Otherwise we all had a wonderful time here and greatly enjoyed our visit.

This is our second time at this place. We come here for a short family get together. The place is spacious, clean, and has lots of things and games to keep everyone entertained and occupied. We took our three kids and their families (grandkids: 9, 7, 5, 5, 4, 2, 1) to Door County with us for a few days vacation. This property was amazing! Very large house with lots of space for 8 adults and 7 kids. There was sand right outside the lower back door, just off the deck. The grandkids had a ball playing in the sand there and at our beach, which was just a short walk down the boardwalk! Everyone had a great time. A very relaxing setting! I recommend this property!

The Simple Life was a great base for our family get together. Although we did not end up cooking as much as expected, the kitchen was nicely implemented to support a large group. This is our second year coming to this location. We spent this year on the property and enjoyed exploring the creek and wildlife watching. We saw two different kinds of snakes out in the forest, lots of different birds and did some insect catching! We got out on the lake as well when the water was calmer. A beautiful place in a beautiful location, this "cottage" was perfect for our weekend gathering. There are many more beds than advertised on their page as the downstairs alone can sleep ten in beds - eleven if someone wants to do the couch thing. The main level has space for 4 in beds and more if couches are utilized. The upper level can also sleep 4 and more with the extra futon as well as the massive amount of floor space with air mattresses - if you're into that!
The kitchen is MORE than adequately stocked with pots and pans and utensils. Plus, having 4 FULL bathrooms makes shower time with lots of people super easy.
The quick stroll to the beach is amazing and the shoreline is divine.
The ONLY small complaint is that the front door does not close or open easily, requiring some significant force in both directions. But other than that, it's a beautiful place in a beautiful location.

The property is located in a remote but easily accessible wooded area right on a private Lake Michigan beachfront. Though secluded, the location is in close proximity to all of the Door County villages and hotspots. The view of the lake at dusk and dawn is amazing. The home is as described with great views and an upper and lower deck. Plenty of space and amenities. The walk-out basement is the perfect spot for hanging out, playing pingpong etc. The lakeside has a large sandy area for fire rings with a boardwalk to the lake just a hundred feet or less away. The outside shower was very convenient and helpful to get the sand off prior to coming in the basement entrance. The owners were friendly and communicative. We did not have any problems that required interaction beyond check-in and check-out. We would absolutely return at our next visit to Door County!

This home is everything listed and more... Every year our experience is better than the last. We enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks on the property and the children were able to enjoy swimming on Michigan lake. Memories were made while making smores on the firepit, or simply enjoying the view at the end of the day on the deck. The property is nearby to parks, shops, and trails- anything you may need is really not that far. The best part is after an eventful day, if you leave the windows open you can hear the Michigan waves crashing ashore and they immediately lull you to sleep. This is a wonderful place for family and friends to reunite every year.

The house and lot were nicer than the pictures represented. Great access to the sandy beach, and we spent a lot of time in the water swimming and using the kayaks and paddleboards. Kiddos enjoyed the bunkroom in the basement, as well as the pingpong table. Perfect setup for a family get together... we grilled out on the deck and played games on the large kitchen table. No complaints and the only suggestions for improvements that we'd make would be to have a few more outdoor folding chairs and additional bath towels, but this is really a stretch and I almost hesitate to mention this given how perfect everything was!

The home was a perfect layout for our family of 8 adults and 7 grandkids. The only negative is the entrance to the home needs work. It was covered in gnats and bugs and there was rotting wood. We used a broom to knock them all down before the rest of our family arrived. Not a deal breaker, just could’ve been cleaned up before our arrival.

This home was perfect for our family reunion, which included 16 guests ranging in age from 10 to 50. The location right on Lake Michigan was spectacular and secluded. It's about 15 minutes from the home to the more touristy towns on the west side of the Door Peninsula. The home was clean and the space was plentiful, and communication with the rental agency was excellent.

We took a trip to Door County to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary, and this place had the accommodations we needed for a larger group with several families. The house is located on a long, private driveway and has an expansive backyard with dunes, views of the lake, and a bonfire area. We went when it was still rather cool outside, so other than dipping toes it was not swimming weather. We had someone in our party who could not use the stairs, so having a main floor bathroom and two bedrooms was nice. It is important to note that the master bath is an en suite, so the upstairs bedroom must share with either the master bath or the main floor bath. There are two additional bathrooms downstairs with the bunk beds. It worked for us. The kitchen had all of the utensils, dishes, and some larger serving dishes as well as plenty of small appliances and a crockpot. We were happy with the amount of towels, extra bedding, etc., and the furniture was very comfortable. A couple of "room for improvement" items to note are that there was no cable or Roku upstairs and we had folks who couldn't go down steps. A Roku TV in the main living room is a must. Lastly, the dryer is a real issue. It kicked off at least 20 times where we needed to unplug and re-plug it.. I saw it mentioned in other reviews, so I would recommend getting it fixed or just replaced. It is too tight of a squeeze for some people to unplug several times a load. Thank you, and we really enjoyed our stay!!

We had a great time at the lake house! There is so much space in the house and surrounding yard for a large group. The beds are all comfy and sleeps 20 very comfortably. The kitchen is great and has numerous utensils if you need to cook while there. The grill worked really well and was easy to use. However, The best part of the house is the unreal views from the main deck. Its a great spot!

This house could not be better for a group of friends or family looking to get away. It has plenty of beds to fit all of its guest- my friends especially loved the bunk bed room. The house being right up against Lake Michigan is going to be so nice in the summer (our group has already started talking about planning the same trip in the warmer months here!). We clearly had such a fabulous time we booked for next year while we were still there! We vacation in DC every summer with friends and have tried many different lodgings. My favorite part about this house was that we didn’t feel the need to “get out” to enjoy the day. Of course we did go out but we spent A LOT of time at the house enjoying all the water activities. The kids loved playing in the water, sand dunes and in the basement! Adults had equally as much fun. House is stocked with everything you could ever need!.......unless you have a baby I suppose. We had a wonderful weekend spent with family! It was our first time having everyone stay in one house together. There were 20 of us plus one infant. There was plenty of room! Very clean! The lower level is perfect for kids with the bunk room, game room, and rec room. The boardwalk down to the water is beautiful. The kids loved playing in the sand, and having fires at night. Kitchen was fully stocked. There are 2 full size refrigerators (1 downstairs). The master bedroom/bath is on the upper level (we assumed it would be on the main level). Something to keep in mind with anyone concerned navigating stairs. I would suggest to bring extra folding chairs to put out on upper deck with a big group, and for around the fire.
Scott was a great host, and super easy to work with! I highly recommend his home for your next weekend away!

The house is large and has all of the amenities needed. Great view of Lake Michigan! We were a group of 13 who had plenty of space to do all of the things we wanted and even places where someone could have some quiet time.
Scott was a great host. He responded quickly to emails and provided information on the house and surrounding area. This was a great vacation for us!

We had a great experience staying in Baileys Harbor. The house was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials, and the beach was beautiful. We were thrilled to find there were kayaks and stand up paddle boards for us to use as well! My only complaint is that dogs were not allowed at the property. Door county is really dog friendly, so we would have loved to bring our pooch to hike and explore with us. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property!
