Here Comes the Sun(set)

Great location just a few minutes from the Egg Harbor shops and restaurants. The house had everything we needed, including a lot of games and activities that kept our kids entertained. Loved sitting out by the lake and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets.

Our family had an amazing time for our long weekend on the water. The sunsets are incredible, with a wonderful breeze and a fire pit for s’mores, followed by incredible late night stars. We loved all of the activities, from board games to kayaks to the shuffleboard court in the yard.

Nice property. Well maintained and equipped. You can't really swim or boat from this property because the lake is too shallow where the dock ends -- but it is easy to go to the beach or marina intown.

We had a wonderful weekend at Here Comes the Sunset! The peaceful, waterfront setting was the perfect backdrop for chilly evenings by the fireplace and outdoor firepit, and we loved relaxing with a few rounds of shuffleboard. The home had plenty of space for our group and was just minutes from town, making it easy to explore Egg Harbor and surrounding towns. The views were absolutely gorgeous—would definitely stay again!

Wonderful location. Within walking distance to the cute town of Egg Harbor. We loved the backyard and its great views. The water was crystal clear but the bottom of the bay here is rocky. There is a seasonable dock but you cannot tie up any watercraft to it. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. A couple of drawbacks included the confusing two lock box codes we were given (to obtain the key to the house) but could only find one lockbox at the house. We were able to get in but directions were confusing. The outdoor furniture was also very dirty….like it had not been cleaned after the winter months…so we had to clean it ourselves before we could use it. There was also a strange sewer smell outside that occurred in the late afternoon and evening.

Our extended family enjoyed this beautiful home for a long weekend in Door County. The location on the water cannot be beaten! We watched gorgeous sunsets every night around the outdoor fireplace and had plenty of room to relax, play and enjoy one another’s company. This home’s kitchen is well-equipped for a large family and the mud room is so nice to have! We will definitely be coming back to this gem. Thank you!

Pictures in listing didn’t do it justice. Beautifully updated. Only slight issue: there is only air conditioning on the main level. The three bedrooms upstairs were incredibly warm most nights. Hosts had fans throughout the house which helped but it was still fairly warm upstairs.
Great area, close to fun activities. Bring water shoes if you plan to get in the lake at the house as the rocky bottom is slick.
Overall great stay and family already asking to go back! Fit our group of 7 adults and 4 kids!

This place worked great for 3 generation family of 12, including 2 and 3 year old grandkids. Amazing sunsets. Yard games were great, especially the shuffleboard. Bunk room worked well for teenagers. Enough shower and bathroom space with 3 and 1/2 baths. Outdoor fireplace worked well (would help to have starter stick). Kitchen and space for family meals worked great. Location to Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay was great (Fish Creek is our favorite to visit and shop). Took many morning hikes in Peninsula state park. Close to put-put and go-karts. Bikes available. The host company was very organized and responsive. Highest rating is well deserved for this VRBO

We loved our stay at ‘Here Comes the Sunset’. The location is great… a wonderful private location but close to Egg Harbor and all that there is to do there! Great views and loved being on the water! We had a little hiccup at check-in and with the garbage situation but resolved very quickly… and great communication with the Property manager. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time staying at the lakeside home. Home was very clean and well-equipped with everything. The shuffleboard on the lakeside patio was a bonus and lots of fun. The only negative is the million tiny black bugs that emerged at night. No fault of the owners of course. Would definitely stay there again! Book it if you get ghe chance!

Owner - Trevor was so engaging and caring always making sure we had what we needed for the week providing top notch service. Location - Literally on a pristine lakefront lot less than 5 mins from downtown egg harbor which is close to wineries and distilleries. Quiet as can be where you are secluded but not isolated. Property - The pictures are beyond accurate and can’t even fully describe how amazing and picturesque the entire home is. Every night for a week we watched the sunset unobstructed on the dock and then did a fire while star gazing with a local spotted cow beer in hand. Overall - This was a once in a lifetime cherished family vacation we would love to duplicate year over year and we know that the property won’t be available long term so we are super excited to get back up there in the winter and as many times as possible. If you are considering any property in Door County it should be this one.

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. Trevor was incredibly easy to work with (very responsive and accommodating to my questions / outreach). The property is everything and more from what the pictures illustrate. Every inch of the interior seems to have been recently renovated which made everything feel very clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and family room area and loved the open arrangement. The best feature is the remote controlled fireplace that allowed us to enjoy a warm and toasty fire on a cold winter day by the touch of a button. The view out the windows is breathtakingly gorgeous. I can’t recommend this property enough. I truly hope we can come back again some day soon!

Perfect for families, we have three young children and they loved the bunk bed room and the assortment of puzzles and games. We stayed for a long weekend, the home was well appointed and comfortable. Location is great to visit many of the towns on the peninsula. We had a group of 10, mostly adults and everyone was able to have a comfortable and private place to sleep and we appreciated the extra blankets throughout the house as it wound up being a chilly weekend. The bunk room is so cute, and the kids loved having their own space as well. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, including plenty of dishes. Even with a group our size we never felt crowded in the home as there are adequate bedrooms and probably more importantly, bathrooms. Although the weather didn’t permit us to spend much time outside, being right on the water was wonderful. We loved hearing the waves crash on the rocks. Thank you to our hosts, we would love to stay here again.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this house and location. It's just a stone's throw away from the heart of Egg Harbor in a lovely wooded neighborhood. We especially enjoyed being able to just step outside onto the patio to relax right by the water's edge. Bonus points for being able to have a full view of the water from the living room, kitchen, and sun room as well! Gorgeous sunsets, gorgeous house. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. The home was immaculate, beautifully furnished, had a fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. This was the perfect place for our multi-generational family vacation. The outdoor and indoor living areas were amazing. We were fortunate to have great weather and spent a lot of time on the outdoor patio where we enjoyed most of our meals, outdoor games, fire pit and of course, the sunsets! Later, the gas fireplace inside provided a cozy place for playing games. The open-concept layout was great for everyone feeling included during meal prep and the kitchen was the best-equipped that I’ve seen in a vacation rental. Everyone commented on the super-comfortable beds! The design and decor of this home was absolutely stunning!

I can't say enough about the property! It's not just the house itself - right on the water, peaceful neighborhood, close to town - but the amenities. The house is equipped with everything you need and then some. I would recommend adding on the bikes and kayaks for the additional cost - they were used daily by the teenagers! We had a an extended family of 9 (ranging in age from 83 to 12) for most of the week with some additional members joining for the last 2 nights and we never lacked supplies or space! As for the owner, Trevor is so easy to work with and extremely responsive! He reached out on the day of check in to make sure the process went smoothly and to see if we had any questions. I would rate higher if I could and fully intend on returning next year...if not sooner! While the vacation only lasted a week, the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you!

My family (eight adults and two small children) rented the house over the Thanksgiving holiday - it was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and well furnished, especially the kitchen which we made good use of. Given the season, we didn't utilize the outdoor space but the views were incredible. Owners were attentive and responsive both before and during our stay and our full security deposit was returned in a timely fashion. We would absolutely look to rent there again.
