Had a wonderful stay here. The property was clean and the we found the furniture and beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed as well. The location was nice but we found ourselves driving a bit more than we would like but definitely not a major factor in our overall rating of the property. Very easy to communicate with owners too.

My family had a great vacation in the house! Plenty of space in the house and out back. We spent a lot of time hanging out back around the fire pit watching the kids swim. Location was great for both hanging out by our selves and jumping into the nearby towns for additional activities!

Check-in was very easy. The space was good for our group. Sleeping accommodations as expected. Cleanliness was an issue, both inside and out. They need to.pay more attention to details. Appliances were not cleaned well. The lower level shower still had hair from a previous occupant. The enclosed porch and outside deck hadn't been cleaned in quite a while.A few things needed repair. Hot water for the bath tub upstairs was lacking. We appreciated having sufficient bathroom towels. Kitchen towels need to be addressed. We had to reconnect the WiFi every time we turned on the television, but it worked okay on our devices.

The house was exactly how described in listing. The sunsets are beautiful on the lake and it was a quiet area. There were kayaks on the property but not a great place to launch them. We did have a shower leak upstairs so we didn't use for part of our stay but if you own a home those things happen. Great place to relax and enjoy!

Myself and a few friends stayed here for the Door County 50 miler - it was great for a large group of adults - lots of space and the fire pit was perfect. There were quite a lot of bugs in the house, I'd say that was the one complaint/negative from our group, but overall we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again for future races or group trips!

Our stay with 5 adults and 7 children was generally good other than a couple of exceptions.
The only light in the bedroom with four beds (a fan light) was unable to turn on. It was reported immediately upon arrival and not addressed during our 4 night stay. The septic alarm went off during our stay and it was turned off as instructed, but we found the instructions lacking regarding what to do next, if anything. Was it ok to continue to use water? Were we to wait for some period of time? With no information to the contrary, we continued using water and were just leery of what might happen. On our last night at 12:15 AM there was a VERY LOUD grinding type noise that awoke the house. This noise went on for 10-15 minutes. We were unable to determine the source of the noise only the it was under the kitchen and behind a locked door in the basement. Upon reviewing the info book more, it appears that the noise was caused by the water softener. (I lived with a water softener for 30 years

The house was well appointed, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom, shower were very nice. Extra cleaning, an eye to the dirty windows, and the outdoor porch furniture needs to be addressed. The inside of the house is pretty, great kitchen with decent appliances and pots, pans, dishes for cooking. Would rent again. Just be aware you will hear noise from the highway when out on the porch.

The house was great but kitchen not so well stocked. We enjoyed the kayaks and marshmallow roasting on the fire pit. Beds were very comfy. A good place to stay and enjoy but not convenient to explore door county from as too far away from highlights of Fish Creek and Ephraim. Closest town for decent restaurants, Sturgeon Bay, is 30 minutes away. It is very private and isolated so good if that’s what you’re looking for.

We had an AMAZING stay at this beautiful home on the Bay!! There was tons of space for 3 adult couples. The property is extremely clean and well stocked! The views over the water during sunset with a fire and a glass of wine will be remembered for years. It was just what we needed to relax with our adult kids. Thank you! Beautiful place to stay with a group of girls. However, when we arrived the left next door neighbor told us to not speak to him, and that he wanted nothing to do with us or “that” house. It was an unsettling experience.
We tried to use the grill but the propane was out. I contacted the host and was texted back two hours later asking which site we were at and then never contacted again. Very poor communication.
The house was also a 20 min drive from things to do and it is impossible to get an Uber.
We wanted to use the kayaks but the stairs to the water seemed too dangerous with the rocky area :(.
Despite this, the house and yard were very clean and beautiful.

It’s only a 20 min drive away from the shops of door county, which makes it a great place to unwind after a day exploring more north! The rooms and layout of this house are great for a multi family stay. Owner was easy to communicate with for a late check out. We enjoyed our weekend immensely and our whole crew had room to spread out in the house. A few amenities could use some updating (the living room couch and love seat are showing their age and the dining room table could really use more chairs for a house that hold 14), but overall the spot is just beautiful and we appreciate the opportunity to stay.

Such a lovely place facing the lake. We especially enjoyed the firepit by the lake and the use of the kayaks. There were a few minor cleaning issues (pots and pans not thoroughly clean) and there is definitely noise in the lower bedroom at night. But regardless, a really lovely stay.

It was great, my only suggestion is to use different cleaning people as there were open snacks on carpet upstairs, old 7 up bottles under bed, dead bugs throughout the house. Otherwise the place was great, the lake was amazing, the sunsets even better. I would stay again.

We were a party of 13 and had a wonderful stay. We loved the fire pit, the views, kayaking and swimming in the bay. The house was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. I would say, put your soundest sleepers on the lowest level as the mechanics of the house and noise from the main floor can be quite loud down there. Would absolutely stay again.

The home was well equipped in the kitchen for meals. Plenty of spices available which was a bonus. Very large firepit was perfect for evening bonfires. Plenty of linens and towels and access to laundry was ideal. Rooms had plenty of space for sleeping our group of 11 and closet space was perfect to store luggage. More hamgers would be nice. Wasnt sure how the fridge icemaker worked but brought our own icemaker so it wasnt a big deal. Used the kayaks which was a nice perk. Dining room overhead light didnt work and there were a few large black ants noticed in the basement. Suggest a few fold up chairs forbaround the dining table to accommodate larger groups like ours, we ended up using the 3 seasons room chairs soit worked. Excellent communication with owners for early check in. Would recommend to others for a family gathering location.

Great house and even better views! We loved relaxing and catching up with friends right on the water. We didnt have to go into town to find activities to do this location had it all; games, Kayaks, waterfront for fishing and a bonfirento watch the sunset. Would recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Wow! We are in love with Maison Rouge! When we walked in, my 7 year old grandson said, "This place is Paradise!" He wasn't far off; the house had all the bells and whistles; soft comfy beds, plenty of towels and hot water, gorgeous cooks kitchen, living room, And den, quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking, and 3 1/2 bathrooms . The view and location were amazing, and only 20 minutes from the University of Greenbay, the downtown, and 30min. from Lambeau Field. We were a family of 7, ages 7 to 70, and everyone could spread out and have plenty of room. I would recommend the Marchand Market. It's a small grocery store that carries everything including booze. We recommend Black Sheep Bar & Grill and their gorgeous deck, and Millions Crab Boil as good family restaurants. Also good for kids young and old, Hinterlands Brewery, next to Lambeau field, so much fun!!

The house was beautiful as well as the view but for the cost of renting the house. There were lots of rules that were followed but the renter delayed on responding and did not deliver what was promised and should have been provided per contract like extra roll of paper towel. Also the carpets by the living room and kitchen were not safe, the corner of the carpets were bent very unsafe for the elders. The stairs by the lake was another safety issue we could not use the kayaks.

If you are looking for a spacious and modern home on the water in door county, this is it. We had 9 people stay and the size was perfect. The home was well stocked, nothing worse then going to a VRBO and only have a few pots me dishes - not here. It’s almost like they want people to stay there. It is a drive if you are going to any of the the Door County spots but it was a huge deal. - 20 minutes to Sturgeon - 70 minutes to Sister Bay Only issue - the knob on the stove is so worn off, you have to guess to figure out which setting your trying to get. Still 5 stars just needs to be switched out.

The beds were extra comfortable with lovely bedding. Plenty of bathrooms (3.5) for all family members, and lots of room (three levels) for us to spread out. The kayaks were great fun, and the stairway down to the bay was so helpful. The yard is large enough for lots of games and running around--and the use of the huge garage is helpful. It is a quiet neighborhood with quiet evenings.

We had a wonderful, multi-generation family vacation on Green Bay. The home was beautiful, well-decorated, and very clean. Perfect layout for our family. The kids loved the bunk room! The beds were comfortable and the property owners were helpful. A few things to note: the basement bedroom has some mechanical noise during the night and the upstairs bedrooms get hot if you don't close the curtains and doors during the day to save the A/C. Overall, a great property with a gorgeous bay view! 30-40 min drive to the tourist attractions. I would stay again!

Our stay here was pleasant except the oven and refrigerator were dirty like they had not been cleaned since previous renters. The first floor shower was the same way. There was hair and soap on the walls, seeming like it had not been wiped down. Other than that, the location was perfect and it was a nice stay.

The house was amazing and laid out nicely. Plenty of room and had most everything we needed in the kitchen. We were disappointed that the steps to the water were filled in, the pictures were a bit misleading. The weather was not great, so it was not as disappointing, but will consider that before booking again. Nice quiet area.

This is a beautiful home and a comfortable stay for two couples with kids. A scenic drive from popular Door County towns and shops. A little over an hour to the tip of the Pennisula and is perfect for enjoying the countryside. Like any home, it has it's own sounds and the owners did a nice job describing this in advance. The couple downstairs did wake up to the sound of the sump pump a couple of nights but knew what it was so were able to go back to sleep. We ate out most of the time but did have breakfast and made spaghetti and tacos for dinner. The kitchen is very pretty but short on some basic supplies to accommodate two families. The owners are great and very responsive. When we called management to report a minor fix that didn't interfere with our stay in any way, they were responsive. This is a great place to call home while you enjoy Door County!

The house was nice.The location provided a peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful view. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunsets. However, the cushions for the outdoor furniture were very dirty. Sleeping in the basement bedroom is difficult because of all the noise in the basement, especially when the water softener is working. It was so loud my daughter and I moved upstairs to try and get some sleep. The water and ice dispenser on the refrigerator did not work. Fortunately my daughter has the same fridge at home and her husband knew how to unlock it so they would work. Kitchen needed a few more cleaning utensils and baking pans. However, we still had a great time staying there. We did wish it had been located a little further north on the peninsula because we had to spend a lot of time driving to the activities we wanted to do and to the restaurants that we wanted to try out.

This house is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. It was spotless and thoughtfully decorated. Everyone in our group talked about how much they loved the house and how they wanted it for themselves. It had plenty of space with clean, comfy beds for all. Everyone had their own bathrooms and privacy. We realized we definitely overpacked because we had assumed the house didn’t have as many supplies/amenities as it did. There was an abundance of kitchen utensils, cutlery, dishes, cups, basic ingredients (salt, pepper, sugar, etc.), cleaning supplies, and paper products. There was even an ice machine downstairs that came in very handy. Having a garage to keep our cars was a perk we didn’t know we wanted until we had it. Check-in was a breeze, as was check out. Scott was extremely accommodating and quick to respond. He was able to accommodate our request for a late check out, and then an even later check out when we decided we wanted to stay as long as we could. The wifi went out one day due to some bad weather. We called Scott’s team and it was immediately tended to. We are already planning our next visit so we can rent the property again. It just may become an annual trip! Thanks for a great stay, Scott!

A beautiful new home with a stunning location right on the lake. Perfect getaway spot. New construction, clean and comfortable. Owners are working out some of the "punch list" of a new home, but otherwise very well laid out and furnished. Kayaks and the lakeside fire pit were the high points of the stay.

This a beautiful home in a very safe location. The sunsets were amazing and there was plenty of space for 4 families. We would definitely stay here again. My wife is very particular when it comes to cleanliness and this house was clean. They even follow the CDC guidelines when sanitizing the house for Covid-19. We would stay here again.

This home is absolutely stunning. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and due to COVID we could not fly, so we wanted something memorable within driving distance. We choose Door County and came across Maison Rouge and we know it was perfect! It is made for far far more than 2 people, but it was the exact setup we wanted: New, Modern, Sleek, Fresh, Patio, Waterfront, Private Garage, Washer/Dryer. This is a true dream home and that is what we were looking for! If you want an old cottage feel, this is not for you, but if you want to feel luxury and "new" and stylish while up north, this is the perfect spot.
The main floor is where we spent all of our time. It has a BEAUTIFUL kitchen, dining room table, living room, flat screen TV, Master bedroom with HUGE closet and HUGE bathroom with beautiful walk-in shower. The bed was extremely comfortable (I am very picky and have a hard time sleeping) and this was perfect.
Home Location: The "action" is about 20 minutes away first beginning in Sturgeon Bay and then another 20-30 minutes past that is Sister Bay. At these locations you can go to outdoor restaurants, rent boats, taste wine, etc. Note: There does not appear to be any action/restaurants/things to do at the location of the house. Not saying you need it because the house is beautiful and the view of the water with a campfire is to do for, but just make sure you're ok with the small drive to the "Door County Stuff"
Little Bonuses that go a long way:
1) WiFi that works (We even hooked up our own appleTV to watch our movies at night)
2) Roku Smart TVs in living room, basement, and Master Bedroom so you could log into all your streaming services.
3) Firewood by firepit
4) Marshmallow sticks for roasted marshmallows
5) Modern Laundry
6) Ice Machine in Basement
One thing to consider:
IN MY OPINION: As an in-shape 35 year old, there is no way to use the kayaks with the stairs being removed from the shorelines. Getting the kayaks in would result in severe damage, and the rocky shore is far too dangerous to walk on. I cannot imagine how you would even get the kayaks back up to the shoreline, nonetheless your own self.
However, the views of the water, the firepit, and the sunset and are absolutely priceless.

Mason Rouge is a spectacular waterfront home on the bay right at the Door County Line. The home is gorgeous - from the bedroom sizes, the huge bathrooms, a great common space for everyone to hang out in, the porch overlooking the water, and the patio at the waters edge with the fire pit - we loved it all. This place is amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Perfectly clean. The house was just perfect. We had three families (10 people) and everyone had plenty of space. The view out the back, especially at sunset, is breathtaking. We had so much fun just hanging around the house that when we were touring through Door County, we actually found ourselves wanting to go back to the house to just hang out there. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The hosts were always prompt in the communication. Check-in was a breeze and the personal touches and resources to experience the most out of Door county really put this place over the top. We have been in several BNB’s but this one was the best my a mile and none of the others are even close. If we ever head back to Door County, this will be the place we stay for sure. Thank you so much for making our stay absolutely wonderful!

Great home and spacious. New construction was recently completed (as advertised ) as you can smell the fresh paint when you first enter.
Family trip of 12 fit well in this house, 14 is their max however the house is large enough to accommodate more.
The lake view and access is amazing! Fire pit, deck and sun room were awesome. 3 kayaks available which was not listed was a nice plus. The kids wanted to swim in the lake however rocks filled the entryway which made it difficult to walk on, plus the algae never helps. Great view for the sunset.
Inside the house you have everything you need from 3 full showers, washer dryer, dishwasher and all the utensils needed for your stay. Maybe we missed it but we only had one garbage bag for our 3 day trip, luckily we had many grocery bags we used. Other than that, the house was fully stocked.
We had trouble regulating the ac within the house. The main level and “basement” were super cold and those on the top level struggled to get the cold air upstairs. We closed some vents hoping it will help however we were unable to notice the difference.
Overall, this was a great stay. This was mine and most of my family’s first air bnb stay and we hope our next stay will live up to this experience.
