This was a cozy, yet spacious cabin in which to spend Thanksgiving weekend. Loft was great for kids to share sleeping space. The fireplace was great in the evenings.

This was a great stay! What a beautiful home. It was large enough to fit our whole group with plenty of space while still maintaining cozy cabin vibes. The property is beautiful too. Suited with all the amenities we needed. Overall, the place was very clean minus minor dusting and sweeping that was missed. The beds were a little uncomfortable (hard, not enough cushion), but to be expected at a rental. This place was perfect for a fall getaway and great location for central Door County. Less than 10 minute drive from downtown Fish Creek and Ephraim. I had no interactions with the host (which is fine by me) so can’t speak to customer service but they do go through a 2nd party site so unsure how personable/good/timely that would be. Place is pricey, check in time is a little late and check out a little early, but overall, very happy and would stay again for a group setting.

On a girls weekend we stayed at the log cabin. We loved it and would return! Clean, spacious and beautiful! We did have issues with the lock box at the front door which was the only negative. We did get a quick response to help with that which was appreciated.

Our whole family, ages 6-75, loved this beautiful home and wished we could have stayed longer. It is beautifully furnished and maintained. The bedrooms were spacious and easily accommodated our family of 9 plus our 2 dogs. Our kitchen had all the cookware, dishes, utensils, and small appliances we needed and the table was big enough for all of us to sit together. We enjoyed sitting in front of the rustic fireplace in the evenings, watching movies and munching on popcorn, so relaxing. The location is very convenient to many of the outings we like to go on, most of the time we were only a 10-15 minute drive away. The screened in 3 season room was a relaxing place to sit and read while enjoying the sounds of the surrounding woods. We are anxious to return soon for another stay.

This home is fabulous, we had a wonderful time there. The interior and exterior are beautiful, perfectly fitting into the Door County woods. Our family of 9 included grandparents, parents, children and also 2 dogs. We could all be together enjoying popcorn and a movie by the fireplace with plenty of room for everyone. The same was also true for eating meals together at the dining room table, we all had a place to sit. If we didn’t want to be with everyone else, there were many other rooms to spend time alone in. All of us loved our stay at the Log Cabin of Fish Creek and hope to return again.

It was a beautiful place to spend time with my friends for my birthday. I loved the rustic vibe and the open main areas. They have all the pots, pans and dishes to comfortably cook for 10+ people. The nearby towns are very nice, definitely check out the Prince of Pierogi in Ephraim. It's in a small square with a couple of cute shops. I loved the farmer's market that was just down the road, Koepsel's.

Awesome AIRBNB! We loved our stay here. There was plenty of room for our family of 12. The kids had a great time inside and out. The house could use a little TLC and organization in the kitchen. But we did find everything we needed. The only issue we had was the driveway was not plowed when we got there. It continued to snow and the plow only came when we contacted the hosts. Also we were unable to find a snow shovel which we could have used.

Highly recommend this beautiful location for any renter! The house was perfect for our mid-sized group with plenty of room to spare. We were so content staying at the house we barely even left for outings in Door County!
Location was a huge plus being in the exact middle of all major towns of the peninsula for ease of access and seclusion when desired.

We enjoyed the privacy of the home and its location was suited well for us to enjoy a couple meals at favorite spots around Door Co. It was also nice to be able to bring the family pooch and the bedroom configuration fill our needs. There was an issue with not being able to use some of the electrical outlets. Plenty of local spots to pick up firewood and we did enjoy the fireplace.

The basement was musty smelling. The shower handle was broken upstairs. A couple of drawers were broken in the over the garage room which we couldn’t use the tv because a remote was missing Overall we had a wonderful time and the house was beautiful. We loved it

This beautiful log home was perfect for our whole family of 10 and our dog and easily can fit more. We enjoyed the large windows in the living area making the home full of natural light and outstanding views of colorful trees in the fall. The fireplace made it cozy and there were plenty of dishes and cookware for us to have large meals with plenty of seating inside and outside. The location is perfect for going anywhere in Door County and It is the nicest place we’ve ever stayed in. We were even able to see the Northern Lights a few of the nights from the long driveway where there are less trees. The host is responsive and friendly. I would recommend reading all of the listing well. I didn’t look at How to Get in the Home at first and that is where most of the detailed house rules and info is located. The only issue was the folding crib (with just a 3” mattress) was missing the board for the bottom. I was hoping for a regular crib with a nice mattress but the pack n play worked fine.

Everything was good other than the bugs inside. We even had a bee and wasp. The other flying insects were coming through the gaps from the window air units.

This cabin was great for our large extended family. Enough space and bathrooms for everyone. Not far from Fish Creek, Ephraim or Sister Bay. The fireplace was the best! We were cozy on a cold night and roasted marshmallows.

I don’t think we could have found a better place to stay! First off, the house was even better than what the pictures show, the beds are larger and very comfortable! The home can comfortably sleep a large group. Not only did we feel like we were staying in a hallmark movie, but the owners were amazing! Very kind and reasonable. We plan to come back here many times in the future! I couldn’t recommend this place more!

We had a mini vacation with our sons and their girlfriends and absolutely had the best time together. Enjoyed playing games together at night and sightseeing during the day. Our only complaint is it wasn't long enough. A couple of minor issues: more bath/kitchen towels, better lighting above kitchen table for games at night, more frying pans for a larger group and better sharp knives. (As a chef, they are the worst knives I have ever used). Thank you, we would definitely recommend and will be back in the future!! ❤️

Absolutely loved this house and the property. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen supplies were well stocked. The open floor plan and abundance of chairs and couches was the perfect set up for our group of 10 to all be able to talk and spend time together. We read in a previous review that towels were short so we brought extras just in case. Very lucky we did as only 6 towels were left for our group of 10. This was the only negative about the house, but one we planned for so it didn't negatively impact our trip.

We had the family from Britain with us as well as our extended family. Lots of kids from 1-5. The house was wonderful and well stocked. We had great fun introducing the Brits to S'mores around the fire pit. It is such a great location to get to all the towns and beaches. It was peaceful. The fireplace was great in the big room. We traveled to fish creek with two other families. 6 parents and 5 kids in total and it was the perfect house for us. The parents hung out on the screened in porch each night to enjoy the night air with no bugs. My family had a 1 year old and the house was equipped with baby gates to keep our little one safe. This is a great off-the-main-road large home to enjoy Door County! There was plenty of room for our 6 adults and 5 children/youth to spread out. Lots of outdoor seating and tables on the wrap-around deck and three-season porch. A great hot water system ensured we all had hot showers. Very close to Peninsula State Park with good hiking and a nice beach with rentals. We could access the tourism of Door County if we wanted, or enjoy the quiet outdoors of the area. Excellent communication with our hosts who were also very responsive to our requests, even adding a new crockpot to the kitchen supplies. New, large washer and dryer. We would recommend this home and location to anyone.

The log home was perfect for my family. My grand kids had fun in the loft. The location was amazing. Everything we wanted to do was nearby and yet the home was private and secluded. The home was very clean and well supplied. We even used the charcoal grill one day. I would definitely stay at this home again.

The property itself is beautiful in a very private, very secluded area. And perhaps that is the problem. The internet was spotty at best and not all of us could even use our phones at the same time. It was impossible to stream or use a downloaded movie. Even though we enjoyed our stay, we had to go home a day earlier as two people had Computer meetings at around the same time and we knew it would never work. So, if you don't really use your phone or computer much, it was a super place to stay. Unfortunately, that did not apply to our family.

Our group of a dozen family adults whose ages ranged from 18 to 71 really enjoyed staying at this house! The unanimous consensus us that we want to do it again next summer! The house itself is lovely, it's setting is beautiful, the hosts provided everything we needed for a great stay, and, in Door County, there were things to do that pleased everyone. We highly recommend this listing and, on the day we are leaving fro home this year, are talking about staying there again next year if we can work it out, Our hosts provided everything we needed and communicated everything we needed to know. Your log home is very beautiful, thank you for sharing it. We enjoyed our stay there. It is nicely located to access a variety of activities. We were a bit disappointed in the grounds as we enjoy playing outside games, i.e., corn hole, bocce ball, etc. but could not due to no grassy areas just gravel and wood chips. Another concern was on our arrival the housekeeping staff was just finishing up. On their departure they explained that there were towels and sheets in the dryer and washing machine and asked me to remove what was in the dryer and put them on the shelf and finish drying what was in the washer. I was told I didn't need to fold them . I agreed to this not realizing that it would take me a few hours to complete this with such a large load of towels in the washing machine. I didn't like starting off my vacation this way. I went back and forth whether to tell you this or not. I finally came to the decision, if this was my property that I was renting and I was paying for this service-I would want to know this. Thank you again for the use of your home.

This was a wonderful place to rent. Convenient to get to popular destinations in Door County (both east and west shores), but yet a quiet country location in the middle of the Peninsula. We paid extra to have our well-behaved dogs along. It sure was nice to have the 10 acres for them to burn off energy before back in the house. The manager was quick to respond to any concerns. We had 8 family members, plenty of room. They left halfway through our stay then 4 friends came up to finish out the week for our anniversary. Everyone loved it. 2 Thumbs Up!!

This is the perfect retreat for Christmas. The house is lovely and cozy, while being large enough for everyone to have their own space. Beds comfy, and we had everything we needed. This was our first VRBO, so had lots of questions. The owner, Pete, was absolutely amazing and responsive to everything. Large fireplace which we used all day. Made the entire place warm. The only issue was the spotty wifi, but we adapted by playing games and staring at each other instead of the TV:)

House and location were nice. The home could have had been better stocked. No extra garbage bags, or toilet paper. Couldn't find dish towels. Also, the front porch ,deck and chairs were dirty and covered in leaves. I expect to have it cleaned when I show up first day. After that, I can clean if desired, also cushions in screened in porch were dirty and musty with several cushions had burn marks on them... overall, our experience was good, and we always love Fish Creek.

Hi James, My apologies for not being better stocked with backup supplies, thank you for bringing this to our attention...I will talk with the cleaning staff to rectify that. The burn marks on the screened porch furniture were from when the furniture was used by a fire. It is outdoor furniture so it is best suited in a covered area (not actually outside in the elements) with a lot of ventilation. As for the leaves...this time of year we could blow those leaves off the deck every 4 hours and they would still keep falling. The price one pays to have a home in the middle of the woods dealing with Mother nature in fall.

This large cabin accommodated well our five adult visitors. The open living and kitchen/dining area was welcoming and great for after dinner conversation. Bring wood and matches to burn in the large fireplace and/or outdoor burning rings. We would have like the house better with updated linens and neatly made beds, and perhaps some added coziness in the living area. You’ll love the pine paneling and ceiling, which are very Northwoodsy.

We enjoyed the property 4.5 miles out of Fish Creek although at this price point we expected a bit more. We have stayed at several similar VRBO’s and the others had some niceties not found here. No reading lamps in the living room or on the porch, some needed minor repairs (which we have reported) no supplies for power outage (which happened when a storm went through) uncomfortable bed in the bunk room,. All in all though, we enjoyed our stay there and it easily accommodated 7 of us.

Beautiful and very quiet location, 10 min to Ephraim, 10min to Sister Bay, 10min to peninsula state park. A little more attention to detail would be fantastic - for example lots of hand and bath towels, but no extra tissues and no paper towels. TV upstairs works, downstairs does not. Overall wonderful stay.

My daughter, our dog and I wanted to go somewhere pretty and rural where we could take long walks and sit around a fireplace during a winter 4-day weekend. My daughter has an interest in architecture and this large modern log cabin style house was magnificently designed and built for views, natural light and open living spaces. We walked around the large property several times and also went to nearby Peninsula State Park twice to walk on the network of trails through the beautiful woods and to the lighthouse. This was a perfect house to be in during a polar vortex with temps going below zero. The house has heated floors, amazing insulation, a stone fireplace and while inside we had no indication of how cold it was outside.

10 of us including kids stayed 2 nights at this property and it was a great experience. It's a huge property and kept very clean. Kids bedroom is very big and can sleep a bunch of kids. Kitchen has all the appliances required and it is very easy to find everything in the kitchen. Check in process could've been better. We arrived at the property and did not have the code to enter the property. We tried calling the property manager many times, but, there was no response. We had to call VRBO customer service, they connected with the owner David to get the code and we spent at least 45 mins to get into the property. All in all it was a great experience. Would love to rent it again in the future.

Fabulous log house in a private setting amongst the beautiful fall colored leaves. Perfect 4 day fall get away and close to Fish Creek restaurants and shopping. Pictures do not do it justice. Huge space the leaves nothing out. Two of us shared this place and you could easily have 2-3 families stay! Wonderful fireplace and furnishings. The screened in porch is nice but it needs extra cleaning attention. We will certainly be back as not only is the home beautiful, it has a near perfect location.

This is a beautiful, immaculately kept log home in a very private, tranquil setting. The open two-story living room and dining room into the kitchen area was so lovely and comfortable -- just our style to enjoy time together as a family. (And there would have been plenty of room for my parents to join us -- very spacious.) The bedrooms were all spacious, especially the "extra room" which could sleep a whole crew of kids. We are already looking forward to coming back with our kids' friends in the future. The deck and grounds in general are very spacious and private. The location was great for checking out different towns -- perfectly in the middle of the Bay and Lake sides. It is perfect for those who love biking. You can bike to Bailey's Harbor and other towns in 15-20 minutes (about 4-5 miles) -- makes for great tours there and back. We'll be back!

The location and property were very nice! It worked well for our family of four couples and two grand kids. Master bedroom door handle needs to be replaced. The handle doesn’t release the latch doesn’t batter if your in the room or outside the room. This property was everything we had hoped for and more beautiful than the pictures made it out to be. Although secluded in the woods, this home was designed to let the sunshine in perfectly! The deck also was wonderful as those who preferred shade could find it and still be together with those that are solar powered. The tranquility of the cabin can make you never want to leave, yet the location is close by to favorite towns for when you want to explore. Baileys Harbor is a 5 minute drive, or a peaceful 15-20 minute bike ride away. Many opportunities to be by the water, walk some trails, head over to Fish Creek to shop, or hang out in Egg Harbor for some of the best sunsets you'll ever see. The cabin gives our family room to spread out when we need space and still would be perfect for larger groups. Great open layout. We will be back!

A wonderful log cabin in a great location close, but not too close to towns and some great restaurants, markets and outdoo activities. Wish the place had wifi though! Also i felt that the cooking supplies provided were a a little less and missing some basics that i have come to expect from previous rentals in door county - spatulas, pans, etc. Regardless, a perfect spot and hope to stay there again.

We had 4 families with kids and this place was perfect. The kids lived in the bunk room and cousins who haven’t seen each other in years bonded. We had many good nights as grown ups by the fire pit, and in the oversized kitchen. The owners were responsive and I would highly recommend this rental to others. We had a great winter getaway in March. The cabin was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. Loved the multiple bedrooms upstairs. The loft room was perfect for the guys to all stay in one room. Plenty of bathrooms. Quiet, scenic location in the woods. Fully stocked kitchen was appreciated as we made all of our meals there. We enjoyed a cozy fire our last night. loved, loved, loved this house. the photos do not do it justice. great layout and "flow" for a larger group. radiant heat in floors that take a little while to heat up, but worth the wait - if you haven't experienced radiant floors be warned - you can't go back. I'm very sensitive to chemical fragrances (they make me physically ill) and David and Pete were very gracious in removing them from the house. Would absolutely recommend staying here - we might come back next summer. Huge thanks!

The cabin was great for our family vacation. The location between Sister Bay and Fish Creek was perfect for getting around. The home was cleaned and well stocked with dishes and bedding. We thought it had a gas grill as that what was pictured but a quick trip to grocery store for charcoal and we were all set. No issues with appliances. We never really needed air conditioning as it was nice cool in the woods. We wish the rain had held off in the evenings to enjoy a camp fire but we had made it work with a game night. David was a great host and quick to answer all our questions. Thank for a wonderful week in your beautiful home.

We have stayed here the last 5 summers. Just love it!!! The home is beautiful, what a place to get away and enjoy Door County. So grateful to be able to bring our family here. Just got done with yet another stay at this log cabin, if you want to call it that. It is simply gorgeous and Pete is fantastic to deal with. We have stayed before but that does not take away from the breathtaking beauty. The cabin is nestled amongst a large wooded area and in spring/summer cannot be seen from the road. We had some newbies with us this time who were very impressed. We thourghly enjoyed both our stay at the cabin and our activities in the towns. The only negative...got a few mosquito bites. My biggest fear is that posting this review may make the cabin more popular and therefore harder to reserve in the future.

This review is a bit late, we stayed at this gorgeous home during Thanksgiving 2010. I just wanted to add to the other reviews- we stayed at the home with two families, 10 people in all, and a dog. The sleeping arangements worked out perfectly for us. The pictures do not do this property justice. The kitchen is one of the best equiped kitchens I have come across in a vacation rental (great for the Thanksgiving feast we cooked!). The house is spacious, the location is great, the amenities and details wonderful. I would reccommend this home to anyone. It is a special treat.

The Log Home was awesome. It really felt like home. The house is beautiful. The surroundings are peaceful. The interior is comfortable and pleasant. The location is good... not too far out of town, but just enough so that you can get away and enjoy some peace and solitude. We saw a deer and two turkeys during our stay. I highly recommend the Log Home. The only thing I would say is that the rent is a bit steep. Still, I might even pay it again.
